WALLIAMS CANCELLED: Shocking Claims Rock Children's Author!

A celebrated career, built on captivating stories for children, has abruptly shifted for David Walliams. The comedian and author, once a publishing phenomenon, has parted ways with his long-time publisher, Harper Collins, amidst a cloud of serious allegations.

For over a decade, Walliams’ books – titles like *Gangsta Granny* and *Mr Stink* – dominated children’s bookshelves, amassing an estimated £100 million in sales for Harper Collins by 2019. His work even transcended the page, finding life as BBC films and appearing as promotional tie-ins with major brands.

However, a recent investigation by the publishing house uncovered accusations of ‘inappropriate behaviour’ directed towards junior female employees. These allegations, reportedly involving instances of harassment, prompted a thorough internal review.

The investigation, which Walliams was apparently unaware of at the time, has now led to a decisive break. Harper Collins, under new leadership, has announced it will no longer publish new titles authored by Walliams.

The decision follows a pattern of scrutiny for the entertainer. Previously, Walliams faced criticism for allegedly making sexist remarks during his time as a judge on *Britain’s Got Talent*, revealed through a leaked audio transcript.

The transcript detailed deeply offensive comments made about female contestants, including vulgar and demeaning language. These revelations prompted his departure from the popular television show.

This isn’t the first time Walliams has been forced to address past missteps. He and former comedy partner Matt Lucas previously apologized for using blackface in earlier comedic sketches, acknowledging the harm caused by their actions.

The fallout from these controversies raises questions about accountability and the standards of behaviour expected within the entertainment industry and beyond. Harper Collins has emphasized its commitment to employee wellbeing and its processes for addressing concerns, while maintaining confidentiality regarding internal matters.

A former Harper Collins employee who voiced concerns regarding Walliams’ behaviour reportedly received a substantial financial settlement and subsequently left the company, adding another layer to this complex and unfolding situation.
