A new legal challenge looms for Prince Andrew, stemming from allegations made by a second accuser with ties to Jeffrey Epstein. This case threatens to reopen deeply unsettling questions about conduct within the highest circles of British society.
The accuser’s lawyer asserts that his client was sent to Prince Andrew by Epstein himself, and alleges a disturbing encounter occurred within the grounds of a royal residence – a first in these ongoing accusations. Following the alleged encounter, the woman reportedly received a tour of Buckingham Palace.
The lawyer has publicly called for direct communication from the Palace, urging a resolution before a formal lawsuit is filed. He hopes to engage in discussions this week, seeking to “figure things out” and avoid further legal proceedings.
Prince Andrew has consistently and vehemently denied all allegations of wrongdoing related to his association with Epstein. Previously, he faced direct accusations solely from Virginia Giuffre, a prominent survivor of Epstein’s abuse.
In 2022, Andrew settled a civil case brought by Giuffre, though without admitting any liability, for a reported sum exceeding £12 million. Giuffre tragically died by suicide six months before the publication of her memoir.
The Royal Family previously issued a statement expressing sympathy for victims of abuse, while acknowledging the ongoing denial of allegations by Prince Andrew. This statement underscored the gravity of the situation and the need for accountability.
Recent releases from the “Epstein files” have added further pressure, including a photograph depicting Prince Andrew in a highly compromising position. The image, now widely circulated, shows him above a woman lying on the ground.
Further scrutiny comes from an email unearthed in the files, where Epstein offered to introduce Andrew to a young woman described as “26, russian, clevere [sic] beautiful, trustworthy.” This correspondence paints a disturbing picture of facilitated encounters.
The lawyer representing the new accuser claims there was communication between his client and the Prince prior to the alleged incident, suggesting a pre-arranged meeting. He is now actively considering filing a lawsuit on her behalf.
Authorities have indicated they are taking any reports of sexual crimes seriously, but confirm that, as of now, neither the lawyer nor his client have formally filed a complaint with Thames Valley Police. The force, responsible for the area including the Royal Lodge, is reviewing the situation.
