The original Nintendo Switch benefited greatly from a thriving ecosystem of third-party Joy-Cons, offering players a wider range of comfort and customization. However, the Switch 2’s upgraded magnetic connection presented a significant hurdle, slowing the arrival of these alternatives. While the new Joy-Cons are an improvement over their predecessors, they still fall short when compared to the ergonomic designs found on other handheld consoles.
