Bryan Mbeumo netted twice and Matheus Cunha scored his first goal for Manchester United since his summer arrival as the Red Devils defeated Brighton 4-2 on Saturday.

United have now won three Premier League games in a row and have climbed into the top four ahead of Sunday’s fixtures in the top-flight.

Cunha opened the scoring with a wonderful finish, picking out the far right corner to leave Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen with no chance.

On 34 minutes, United doubled their lead when Casemiro’s strike from the edge of the box took a big deflection off Yasin Ayari and flew into the net.

Mbeumo made it three in the second half, with the goal allowed to stand despite Luke Shaw clearly tugging on Georginio Rutter’s shirt. Danny Welbeck and Charalampos Kostoulas then scored for Brighton – but it was too late as Mbeumo netted in the 97th minute. Here’s how it all unfolded…
