We began with the ongoing escalation between the United States and Venezuela. 

Tensions have risen as the Venezuelan regime continues to provoke Washington while leaning further into its alliance with hostile nations. 

The Biden years left American deterrence weakened in the region, and now President Trump faces a dangerous test as Venezuela pushes its boundaries. 

This dispute has significant implications not just for energy policy but also for the security of America’s allies in Latin America.

From there, we turned to the so-called “ballroom story,” one of the media’s latest attempts to attack President Trump. 

The left has recycled the narrative endlessly, trying to paint it as a scandal worthy of dominating headlines. But what we really see is desperation. 

With the economy improving, border security restored, and America standing strong abroad, Democrats have little left to criticize.

The overblown coverage of a ballroom event shows how little substance they have to work with when confronting Trump’s actual record.

We also examined the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. For months, U.S. support has been paused, leaving Ukraine in a vulnerable position. 

The Trump administration had been preparing to send Tomahawk missiles as part of a recalibrated strategy, but those plans have now been indefinitely postponed. The decision marks a step back from immediate military escalation, signaling a preference for caution rather than rushing into direct confrontation.

While the debate over Ukraine remains divisive, Trump’s approach reflects a desire to secure American interests first while reassessing the best means of countering Russian aggression.

Finally, we closed with a disturbing story: a prison break in New Jersey where four illegal immigrants escaped a detention center. 

This incident highlights just how broken the system remains after years of weak enforcement. 

These individuals never should have been in a position to flee custody, and the fact that they managed to do so underscores the failures of state leadership and sanctuary policies. 

As always, it is American families who are left to face the consequences of open-border ideology.
