A Richmond Hill man now faces five counts of voyeurism after additional charges were laid by York Regional Police. Adam Russo, 41, was initially accused last October of secretly recording women at a local shopping centre using a hidden camera. The recent charges stem from allegations of similar behaviour at a Markham store in July, involving the surreptitious use of a cellphone.

The arrest wasn’t without struggle; Russo now also faces charges of resisting arrest and violating the conditions of his previous release. Investigators acted swiftly on reports and evidence, leading to the expanded accusations against him. The case highlights the ongoing vigilance required to protect public spaces.
In a separate incident, a 28-year-old man from Ajax is facing a barrage of charges following a reported assault and firearm threat. Police responded to information regarding a victim subjected to violence and intimidation. The subsequent arrest in Halton Hills revealed a loaded firearm with a high-capacity magazine, alongside illegal narcotics.
Keshon Christopher Leslie now contends with multiple counts of assault, forcible confinement, and choking. He’s also facing six firearm-related charges, drug trafficking allegations, and eight counts of violating release conditions. Authorities also discovered he was already wanted by another police service for previous violent incidents.
A significant drug and weapons seizure occurred in Markham, leading to charges against a 25-year-old man. A search of a residence uncovered a loaded handgun, over a kilogram of fentanyl, substantial quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine, and a staggering $100,000 in cash. The scale of the discovery points to a large-scale trafficking operation.
Jai’Lyn Mitchell-Charles is now charged with six firearm offences, possession violations, and three counts of possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking. Notably, he was already on parole for prior firearm-related convictions at the time of his arrest, raising questions about supervision and re-offending.
