A 29-year-old woman from Toronto is currently being sought by police in connection with a violent assault. The incident unfolded Monday evening in the Dawes Road and Park Vista area, escalating from an initial confrontation to a series of attacks. Authorities allege the suspect repeatedly assaulted the victim.
During the assault, the accused reportedly brandished an edged weapon, further threatening the victim’s safety. Chanell Christine Gamache is now wanted on charges of assault and two counts of assault with a weapon.

Gamache is described as approximately 5-foot-5, with a heavy build. She was last observed wearing a green jacket and grey pants, and carrying a distinctive pink backpack.
In a separate incident, Hamilton Police are investigating a disturbing assault targeting a young woman in a bustling shopping district. The attack occurred Saturday night around 9:30 p.m. in the Meadowlands area, near Golf Links Road and Neville Drive. This location is known for its concentration of restaurants and retail establishments.
The 20-year-old victim was approached by a vehicle, and occupants within began directing hateful, anti-Black slurs toward her before physically assaulting her. Investigators are treating this case as a hate crime, as the victim had no prior connection to her attackers.
Police are searching for a silver or bronze sedan and a light-skinned male suspect with curly black or brown hair, who was wearing a grey or white sweater at the time of the incident. Authorities are urging residents and business owners in the area to review security footage from Saturday evening between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. for any potentially relevant information.
