A 34-year-old woman now faces a cascade of serious charges following a police operation in Peel Region, triggered by suspicions of drug and firearm trafficking. The investigation culminated in a search warrant being executed at a residential address on Monday, revealing a hidden cache of dangerous substances and a loaded weapon.
Police allege the search uncovered significant quantities of illicit drugs – powder cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and crystal methamphetamine – with an estimated street value of $75,000. The discovery of a loaded firearm alongside these narcotics dramatically escalated the severity of the situation.
Brandi Dixon, a resident of Mississauga, was taken into custody. She is accused of multiple offenses related to drug trafficking, firearm possession, and a concerning disregard for weapon safety.
The charges against Dixon are extensive, including three counts of possessing scheduled substances with intent to traffic, two counts of simple possession, and multiple firearm-related offenses. These include careless storage, unauthorized possession, and tampering with the firearm’s serial number.
Adding to the gravity of the case, Dixon is also charged with failing to comply with a previous release order, suggesting a history of legal involvement. Investigators believe this incident may not be isolated, hinting at the possibility of other, similar crimes committed by the accused.
Authorities are actively seeking any information that could shed light on the full scope of Dixon’s alleged activities. Anyone with relevant knowledge is urged to contact police directly or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
