A nationwide search is underway for William Turner, a 37-year-old man wanted for breaching his statutory release. Turner, a convicted armed robber, poses a risk and authorities are urgently seeking public assistance in locating him.
Turner is currently serving a sentence of six years, four months, and ten days for a series of serious offenses, including armed robbery and possession of a controlled substance. He has a history of violent crime and is known to authorities as a repeat offender.
Police believe Turner frequents a wide geographical area, including the Greater Toronto Area and several cities in Southwestern Ontario. Specifically, he’s known to spend time in London, Woodstock, St. Thomas, Windsor, and Sarnia.
He is described as a Caucasian male, standing 6-foot-4 and weighing approximately 230 pounds, with brown hair and striking blue eyes. Distinctive tattoos cover his body, offering potential identifying marks for those who may encounter him.
Among the tattoos are “CWB” on the right side of his neck, a bold “RED NECK” across his hands, and a masked face on his right upper arm. He also has an outline of a gun on his right arm and the word “FAITH” on his left forearm.
In a separate incident, a 64-year-old man tragically lost his life after being struck by a dump truck in Whitchurch-Stouffville early Tuesday morning. The collision occurred near Bloomington and Kennedy Roads just after 4 a.m.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and his identity is currently being withheld. The dump truck driver remained at the location and was uninjured, cooperating with investigators.
York Regional Police are actively seeking witnesses and any available dashcam footage from the area surrounding the time of the accident. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are piecing together the events that led to this fatal collision.
