A brazen evening robbery in Toronto’s Financial District left one person shaken and without their phone. The incident unfolded on October 26th, around 8 p.m., near the intersection of Bay and Front Streets, quickly escalating from an approach by strangers to a violent assault.
According to police reports, the victim was confronted by three women, all unknown to them. The encounter swiftly turned aggressive, culminating in the theft of the victim’s cellphone before the assailants disappeared into the city.
Months of investigation by the 52 Division’s Major Crime Unit have now led to the identification of one suspect. Celine Zeynalvand, a 33-year-old woman from Laval, Quebec, is currently wanted by police for robbery.
Investigators are still seeking information regarding the other two individuals involved in the attack. One is described as a woman between 25 and 30 years old, with blond hair, last seen wearing a black athletic top and leggings.
The third suspect is also believed to be between 25 and 30 years old, with brown hair, and was wearing a royal blue athletic top and matching leggings at the time of the incident. Details regarding potential charges for these two remain undisclosed.
